Dr. Jeff Ling is an adult and paediatric orthopaedic surgeon who specialises in all conditions of the foot and ankle from birth to adulthood.
After graduating from the University of New South Wales, he completed his internship and residency at Royal North Shore Hospital. He subsequently obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons - FRACS. He then undertook further subspecialty training in foot and ankle surgery in the form of three fellowships, which included the foot and ankle fellowship at Royal North Shore Hospital, followed by 12 months in the USA where he was a clinical fellow at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, which is ranked the top hospital for orthopaedics in the USA. This was followed by a paediatric fellowship at the distinguished Shriners Hospital for Children in Portland Oregon.
Jeff has a special interest in sports injuries of the foot and ankle and has been involved in the treatment of both recreational, as well as elite athletes from Super Rugby, the New York Knicks, the Brooklyn Nets, and the New York Ballet. Quite apart from this, he provides all aspects of arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery in the adult foot and ankle, and has a subspecialty interest in the paediatric foot.
Through his appointments at Prince of Wales and Sydney Children's Hospitals, he is committed to the education and training of medical students, junior doctors, and orthopaedic trainees. He has published significant articles on disorders of the foot and ankle, and is a frequent speaker at national and international orthopaedic meetings.
Dr. Ling consults in Randwick and Balmain and operates at Prince of Wales Public and Private Hospitals and Sydney Children's Hospital.
