Dr Jayath ("Dr Jay") is originally from Sri Lanka. Whilst in Sri Lanka he was awarded a scholarship which enabled him to complete his Doctor of Medicine at Comenius University in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia in 1991.
Dr Jay and his family migrated to Australia in 1994. He has been working within the Australian healthcare system since 1996, in both public and private hospitals across Australia. After spending some time as a Registrar in Psychiatry and Rehabilitation, Dr Jay has been working exclusively in the field of General Practice since 2008.
Dr Jay has special interests in the fields of pain management, mental health, rehabilitation, Counselling CBD and addiction medicine
