Dr Jayantha Rupasinghe is a neurologist with a primary interest in stroke and headache. His other general interests include multiple sclerosis, parkinson's disease, neurodegenerative disorders, neuromuscular disorders, neuropathy and epilepsy.
Dr Rupasinghe provides clinical services to inpatients and outpatients at St John of God Berwick Hospital.
Dr Rupasinghe completed his specialist training in neurological medicine in 2007 in Sri Lanka and Australia. He is currently the head of stroke unit at Frankston Hospital where he is a clinical supervisor to undergraduate and postgraduate medical students. He is also involved in training basic and advanced physician trainees, along with being a regional examiner for FRACP. Dr Rupasinghe's research includes, acute stroke management at a national and international level.
