Before returning to Perth in 2007, Jasper was a partner in a GP practice in a deprived multi-cultural area of London. He gained extensive experience in independently managing chronic diseases such as: Hypertension, Ischaemic Heart Disease; Diabetes; Chronic Kidney Disease; HIV (incl PrEP); and Hepatitis; and also has interests in Mental Health Problems and Refugee Medicine. In the UK, he was an accredited GP registrar trainer, undergraduate medical student teacher and honorary lecturer at Queen Mary College, University of London. He is an Australasian Railway Association (ARA) and Rail Industry Safety and Standards Board (RISSB) Authorised Health Professional.
