Dr Chow is a gynaecologist, obstetrician and pain medicine specialist, and is interested in the management of pain in the pelvis and the body. He has a longstanding interest in the promotion of health in women, providing care for endometriosis, menstrual problems, infertility, preconception and early pregnancy care, urinary incontinence, prolapse and abnormal Pap smears.

After completing his medical degree at the University of New South Wales, Dr Chow went on to train as a specialist at the Royal Hospital for Women. He undertook further surgical training in laparoscopy and pelvic surgery at the AGES accredited SWAPS unit in Sydney. He then undertook pain specialty training in the management of pelvic and perineal pain under the tutelage of Professor Vancaillie, and postgraduate specialist training in general pain management at Prince of Wales Hospital. He gained his fellowship with the Faculty of Pain Medicine via examination in 2014, the first gynaecologist in Australia to do so by this method.

Dr Chow was awarded the RANZCOG Robert Wrigley Pain Research Scholarship in 2013. He is a RANZCOG training supervisor and continues to teach medical students at the University of Notre Dame.
