After graduating from Griffith University in 2011, Dr Herbert worked at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane before moving to far north Queensland. Since then she has worked in hospital and general practice settings in Cairns and small surrounding towns and Aboriginal communities. She has recently moved to Melbourne and is excited about working and living in this vibrant city.
Dr Herbert enjoys the broad scope of general practice and has a particular interest in child health, mental health and sexual health. She has completed a Diploma of Child Health and Certificate of Sexual and Reproductive Health and is certified to insert Implanons and Mirenas. She is experienced in managing contraception, reproductive issues and sexual difficulties for both men and women.
Jane studied psychology prior to medicine and this has shaped her everyday practice. She enjoys establishing relationships with individuals and families of all ages and she welcomes LGBTQI patients and patients from diverse cultural backgrounds to help them develop and maintain their health. She is passionate about using evidence-based practice to provide holistic patient care.
