Having graduated from Norwood High School Adelaide and then Monash University Victoria, Jamilah returned to Malaysia to complete her internship at Kuala Lumpur Hospital.
Jamilah spent some years in rural Sarawak and experienced the Malaysian Flying Doctor service.
Private practice began with looking after employees and families of oil company Shell in Sarawak for 3 years.
Jamilah returned to Kuala Lumpur and worked in private practice for the next 20 years. She completed a diploma in Dermatology, Wales University Cardiff and a Membership of the Royal College of Physicians Ireland, in Occupational Health.
Jamilah has 5 children, 2 are still at university and 1 in her final high school year. Jamilah moved to Australia in 2015 for the children to begin their university education here.
Jamilah has managed largely women’s and children’s health and chronic diseases. She also has an interest in dermatology and occupational health.
