Dr James Fardoulys obtained his medical degree from the University of Queensland Medical School. He received his orthopaedic training from the Queensland Branch of the Australian Orthopaedic Association and obtained his FRACS in 1990. He was deputy Director of Orthopaedics at Royal Brisbane Hospital in 1990 before travelling overseas for Fellowships in Graz, Austria 1990 (trauma), Dublin, Ireland 1991-1992 (paediatrics) and London, Ontario, Canada 1992-1993 (arthroplasty), The Hospital For Special Surgery in New York 1995 (arthroscopic shoulder and knee surgery). Since returning to Brisbane in 1996, he has been in private practice at St Andrews War Memorial Hospital, Brisbane, subspecializing in shoulder and knee arthroscopic surgery and sports injuries. He is a member of the Australian Knee Society, the Australian Shoulder and Elbow Society, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is a Senior Lecturer with the Griffith University Medical School and University of Queensland Medical School.
