Jacqui is a graduate of Monash University and trained at both Monash Medical Centre and the Womens Hospital in Melbourne. She has worked as a consultant in Ultrasound at both hospitals and as a member of the Fetal Diagnostic and Fetal Management Units, and had training stints in the UK in Kent and Glasgow. She has over 20 years experience as a subspecialist in Obstetric and Gynaecological ultrasound. Her current interest is detailed endometriosis scanning, including assessment of deep endometriosis involving bowel. Specific ultrasound information can influence surgical planning, impact of medical therapies and influence fertility treatment discussion. Jacqui enjoys the finesse of correlating ultrasound findings with each patients symptoms and clinical situation, and discussing results at first hand. Gynaecological scanning now accounts for 60% of her work. She is fortunate to have scanned many families as they grow through pregnancies, and across generations, through complex issues and the joy of good outcomes . She enjoys the rich dialogue and breadth of women’s experiences and using ultrasound as a part of clinical problem solving together with patients and treating doctors. Outside ultrasound – outdoors, beach, bush and gardening.
