Dr Jacqueline Cade (Anaesthetist)

Dr Jackie Cade is a specialist anaesthetist trained in Melbourne. She has subspecialty areas of interest in cardiac, paediatric and obstetric anaesthesia.

Dr Cade studied medicine at the University of Melbourne where she obtained a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor of Medical Science with research overseas in cardiovascular risk. She undertook specialty anaesthesia training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. She has also worked at the Royal Women's Hospital and the Royal Children's Hospital.

She undertook further sub-specialty training in cardiac anaesthesia with a fellowship at Toronto General Hospital, an internationally recognised institution that specialises in high-risk and complex cardiac surgery. She is certified by the National Board of Echocardiography and passed the examination for Advanced Peri-operative Transesophageal Echocardiography in 2015.

She works in public and private practice predominantly at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Melbourne Private Hospital, Epworth & Freemason's, Frances Perry House and St Vincent's Private Hospital.

She is a fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and a member of the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists and the American Society of Echocardiography.
