Jaclyn is an obstetrician and gynaecologist who trained with some of Australia’s most renowned specialists at Monash Health, The Townsville Hospital and The Royal Women’s Hospital, after graduating from Monash University in 2006. She believes in providing holistic, woman-centred care and is committed to empowering women to be active participants in their wellbeing.
She provides care to women throughout their entire reproductive lives and beyond including management of periods, PCOS, abnormal pap smears and colposcopy, vulval conditions, prolapse and has a particular interest in pelvic pain and minimally invasive (laparoscopic/keyhole) surgery.
Jaclyn has experience with low risk, high risk and multiple pregnancies. She is able to facilitate natural (vaginal) delivery, vaginal breech and twin delivery, instrumental birth, VBAC (vaginal birth after caesarean section) and caesarean section. Where caesarean section is required or desired, she believes it should as closely resemble the normal physiological process of birth and supports delayed cord clamping and the earliest possible initiation and maintenance of skin to skin contact. She believes that birth should be a positive experience, regardless of how her patients choose to deliver their babies, and respects their birth plans and wishes.
She teaches Monash University medical students, has a public appointment at Monash Health, mentors junior O&G trainees and is the director of Embrace Women’s Health. Outside of work she is passionate about exercise, food, coffee and spending time with her young family.
She is supported by the wonderful administrative staff at Cabrini Mother and Baby Centre and the Richmond rooms.
