I studied Medicine at Leiden University in the Netherlands and graduated in 1993. After doing research in Anaesthetics and Obstetrics/Gynaecology in Salt Lake City, USA for 2 years and working as a Surgical House Officer in the U.K., I then specialized in Family Medicine at Utrecht University in the Netherlands. I have worked as a GP in several towns in the Netherlands. My husband, our two children and myself decided to migrate to this beautiful country in 2004.

I worked in the Emergency Department at Flinders Medical Centre for a year and then moved back into General Practice. I sat and passed my Australian GP Fellowship exam in 2006 and I am now an examiner for the College. Before I started working at Mawson Medical Centre, I worked in a group practice in Aberfoyle Park for 13 years. I love every aspect of General Practice but I am especially passionate about children (I have a Diploma in Child Health from Westmead University) and Women’s Health. I offer shared obstetric care and IUD insertions.
