Dr Igor Oleinikov (Anaesthetist)

Dr Igor Oleinikov is a qualified specialist anaesthetist, with over twenty years of experience. Melbourne born and educated. He graduated with honours from Monash University, and went on to specialise in his chosen field of anaesthesia with five years of specialist training through the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.

Dr Oleinikov has held a range of specialist consultant roles, including St. Vincents Public Hospital, the Mercy Hospital for Women and the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital where he currently works. In addition to his clinical and teaching roles in theatre he has taken on additional work with the anaesthetic quality assurance committee. He also has a busy private practice and is accredited at many of the private hospitals in Melbourne. Dr Oleinikov is a fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and is an active participant in their Continuing Professional Development Program. He is also a member of the Australian Society of Anaesthetists and the Australian Medical Association.

Outside of medicine he is a busy father of four and loves spending time with his family. He has always enjoyed sporting activities and has played hockey, football and basketball. He is a tragic Carlton supporter. Currently he enjoys playing golf and is a keen travel photographer.
