Dr Heather Allen is a GP of more than twenty five (25) years experience, who has worked much of her GP days in the “Hills” including Olinda, Belgrave and now Selby. She loves the diversity of health. She encourages patients to be an important part of their own “health team” and is happy to work with other health practitioners, including those using complementary or natural health modalities, in helping people achieve their desired outcomes. She has a special interest in women’s health and the emerging area of women’s hormones (how imbalance in such areas can cause so many problems.) She uses bio-identical hormones to try and address these issues as well as other approaches. This is part of a new concept in Australia of anti-aging medicine, an area in which Dr Allen is gradually becoming more interested and experienced. However, what she most loves about her work is looking after her community and the families and individuals that live in it.
