Gerard Gill is the Alfred Felton Professor of General Practice for Regional & Rural Victoria at Deakin University. Prior to this appointment Gerard spent 31 years as general practitioner in the same practice in Launceston, Tasmania.
Gerard also has public heath physician qualifications and is an Army Reservist who was deployed to the Middle East in 2008. He has extensive experience in general practice in its entirety.
Particular interests are the care of pregnant women, care of the elderly and veterans, immunisations, refugee health issues, and tobacco, alcohol and other drug problems.
