Dr Abbott is a specialist rehabilitation physician who brings to our hospital many years of experience in rehabilitation medicine. His clinical interests include: neurological rehabilitation including spasticity management (Section 100 accredited), developmental disability in adults, musculoskeletal rehabilitation and geriatric rehabilitation.
Dr Abbott's memberships include: Australian Medical Association, Australian College of Rehabilitation Medicine, now Australian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (RACP), Fellow of the Australian Faculty of Musculoskeletal Medicine 1997. He has been a member of the Board of Censors (AFRM) and Senior Examiner, Court of Examiners, Australian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine Dr Abbott has also been Lead and Chair, Accreditation Committee AFRM 2007 -2014, Member Faculty Education Committee (AFRM) 2007-2014.
