Geoff is a Rockhampton local. He originally graduated from QUT with a Bachelor of Business degree, but after working in banking for several years, he decided to pursue a career in medicine, graduating with an MBBS from UQ in 2002.
Over the last 13 years, Geoff’s work history confirms his commitment to rural and regional health, having held senior positions in the Emergency Departments of the Bundaberg and Rockhampton Hospitals. He has also worked as a GP in Muswellbrook NSW as well as completing locum assignments at Woorabinda, Gladstone, Bowral, Ballina and Sydney.
Geoff founded Allenstown Medical Centre in 2013. In two years he has grown the practice from one doctor to six in 2016. He has a commitment to medical education and is currently the Medical Educator for GP Registrars training in Rockhampton.
He holds Fellowships to the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine and The Royal College of Emergency Medicine (UK).
His special interests include cardiology, emergency and men’s health.
