Dr Buchanan completed her medical degree in 2005 at the University of Queensland, following undergraduate studies in science and law.
She then underwent training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital carrying out terms in General Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Psychiatry, Dermatology, Rheumatology, Immunology and Infectious Diseases. She has also trained at the Royal ChildrenÛªs Hospital and Mater ChildrenÛªs Hospital gaining experience in the Emergency Department and Surgical wards.
Prior to commencing her training in General Practice, Genevieve was given the opportunity to experience rural terms in Cherbourg, Injune and Roma.
Dr Buchanan is interested in all aspects of General Practice, with a particular emphasis on preventative medicine.
