Originally a NZ graduate; obtained Part 1 FRACS but fate lead to a career change. Moved to Australia 14 years ago to sub-specialize; Garry was the inaugural Fellow in Interventional Cardiology at Monash Medical Centre for a period of two years. Garry's interests are in general cardiology and particularly coronary interventions with a developing expertise in the transradial approach. Credentialed to undertake intravascular ultrasound studies and rotational atherectomy. Is also developing an interest in nutraceuticals and relevance to cardiovascular disease. He has active involvement in interventional clinical research with his appointment at Monash Medical Centre. Garry has been managing the cardiological care of patients with general practitioners in the South East area for the last 12 years. He is involved in the care of in-patients at Monash Medical Centre and The Valley Private Hospital. Consulting is undertaken at The Valley Private Hospital and St John of God Hospital in Berwick. Married with two teenage children. His interests outside of medicine include travel, aviation, food and wine.
