Dr Gabrielle Caswell, is an aesthetic and skin cancer doctor with a number of clinics operating under the Eyra brand in NSW (www.eyramedical.com.au). Dr Caswell was introduced to injectable cosmetic medicine by a colleague and began to research the growing medical aesthetic profession. This led to an interest in laser technology and other tools that modern medicine uses for the remediation of sun-damaged skin.
More recently, Dr Caswell in partnership with Facial-Plastic surgeon Dr Marcells, developed Eyra Care, a therapeutic skin care range for their clinics. In addition to her clinical duties, Dr Caswell serves as the elected Public Relations Officer (2007-2009) for the Cosmetic Physicians Society of Australasia [www.cosmeticphysicians.org.au]. She was elected as President of the society for an going tenure from 2009, CPSA members usually conduct non-surgical cosmetic procedures, and are the largest body of doctors using injectable medicines in Australia. Dr Caswell attends and lectures at international conferences, and has trained in Paris, France with renowned injectable expert Dr Sandrine Sebban.
Dr Caswell is an inaugural fellow and president of the Cosmetic Physicians College of Australasia (www.cpca.org.au). She also holds fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of General Practitioners (www.racgp.com.au) and the Australasia College of Aesthetic Medicine (www.aestheticmedicine.org.au) and holds membership with the Skin Cancer college of Australasia (www.skincancercollege.org) and is an accredited skin cancer doctor in recognition of her extra skills and training in this area of medicine.
In 2008, Dr Caswell was the first doctor in the world to offer Pearl Fractional, fractional thermolysis laser resurfacing treatment. Dr Caswell has since added Pearl™, LimeLight™, and Pearl Fusion™ treatments to treat sun-damaged skin. In 2014 she added PicoSurenew generation tattoo removal to her practices.
Dr Caswell is the only non-college Dermatologist doctor in Australia to conduct PDT treatments under the auspices of Medicare in recognition of her experience and training.
