Dr Frida Carswell is a qualified Gynaecologist and Obstetrician. She is experienced in all areas of gynaecological practice, and takes a particular interest in bladder and prolapse issues.
She believes in holistic care, empowering women and involving them in their decision making journey. She is hoping to meet your needs by offering a wide range of medical and surgical solutions as well as alternative therapies. She is trained in minimal access (keyhole) surgery.
Dr Frida Carswell was born in Sweden. She moved to Australia at age 19 and undertook medical studies at the University of Newcastle. After graduating from Medicine she underwent Obstetrics and Gynaecology specialist training in Sydney and Newcastle. Last year she undertook a Fellowship in Urogynaecology at St Thomas Hospital in London. She is now a Staff Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Maitland hospital.
Dr Carswell operates at Lingard Private Hospital, Merewether.
