Dr Bartholomeusz graduated from the University of Adelaide in 1980 with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). He went on to train in Gastroenterology and Nuclear Medicine (including PET) and was made a Member of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Physicians in Nuclear Medicine (ANZAPNM) upon achieving his Nuclear Medicine qualifications. In 1999, Dr Bartholomeusz completed his Doctor of Medicine (MD) at Adelaide University, publishing a thesis on the role of labelled leukocytes in inflammatory bowel disease. Dr Bartholomeusz is a Senior Physician in Nuclear Medicine and Gastroenterology at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and a Senior Lecturer at University of Adelaide. His special interests are Nuclear Medicine in Gastroenterological diagnosis, Gastrointestinal Transit, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, PET Scanning in Gastrointestinal Disease, Head and Neck Malignancy, Breath Testing and Lymphoscintigraphy. Dr Bartholomeusz is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), has served on the ANZAPNM Federal Council and the Federal Board of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Nuclear Medicine (ANZSNM).
