Dr Felisa Golingi is a registered Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Neuropsychologist. Felisa completed her Bachelor of Science with Honours in Psychology and Professional Doctorate in Clinical Neuropsychology and Clinical Psychology at the University of Queensland.
Felisa has experience in psychological clinical practice, having worked in a range of contexts in mental health (private practice, public and private inpatient settings, outpatient hospital settings, and community public health) and in rehabilitation (brain injury) settings. She has experience treating a range of mental health issues spanning the mood spectrum (depression and related disorders), anxiety, trauma, and social/ interpersonal functioning difficulties. Felisa has experience providing therapy for adjustment to life events and role change, and for health difficulties resulting from injury or chronic illness. Felisa is also Triple P (Positive Parenting) trained. Felisa practices from a range of evidence based clinical frameworks and structures treatment based on the individual client’s needs and goals. Felisa is trained and skilled in a breadth of clinical strategies including mindfulness based cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance commitment therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, EMDR, and Schema focused therapy. Felisa assists clients in identifying personal goals, attaining these goals, while encouraging continual personal development and growth. Felisa’s research includes her doctoral dissertation exploring the development of anxiety and preconscious attentional processing biases, and co-authorship in studies exploring resilience factors in children and interventions to improve` resilience to depression and anxiety in children.
