Dr Fahima Karimi Saadzadah graduated in 1989 from the Faculty of Medicine of Kabul University. She has diverse overseas medical experience and obtained her qualification as an Australian doctor in 2010.
Overseas, after obtaining her primary qualification she did further studies for three years in thoracic medicine at Avicenna Chest Hospital, Kabul. Here Dr. Fahima also gained teaching experience for junior medical doctors. Later, she became a tutor for medical students in Umahatulmomenin University in Peshawar, Pakistan. Furthermore, Dr. Fahima studied basic ultrasonography while working in Peshawar Kai (Japan) Medical Service as well working as a General practitioner. Dr. Fahima has also volunteered for a number of years with the Peace and Health clinic for Women and Orphaned children.
In Australia, Dr. Fahima was chosen as a tutor for the Victorian Medical Post Graduate Foundation (VMPF) for overseas medical trained doctors, and has also spent three years working at the Latrobe Regional Hospital. Since 2014, Dr. Fahima has been working at the Rivoli After Hours Service.
