Whilst enjoying all aspects of General Psychiatry Training, Elizabeth chose to gain further expertise in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry since this was the population with whom she most wanted to work. For the past 20 years Elizabeth has worked predominantly with young people and their families, largely in Private Practice, working closely with The Alfred Child and Youth Mental Health Services. She continues to meet regularly with the Developmental and Assessment Team at The Alfred. For the past four years Elizabeth has consulted privately with Headspace Bentleigh and still works there one day per week.
Elizabeth values the role of family in her management of young people, and Parenting Skills and Family Therapy are often incorporated into treatment plans. She works with young people aged 5-18 years and families.
