Dr Nora Abelev has been a GP for nearly 20 years obtaining her post graduate qualification with the Royal College of General Practitioners. She is a holistic general practitioner who is passionate about the application of evidence based medicine and complimentary therapy to patient care. She has particular interest in the care of the whole family, paediatrics and women's health and is affiliated in shared antenatal care at Royal Hospital for Women (Randwick), King George Womens and Babies (RPA), Sutherland, Canterbury and St George Hospital and Royal North Shore. Dr Abelev is also trained to insert and remove implanon devices and can remove IUCD. Dr Abelev has a certificate in family planning and sexual health through Family Planning Australia and can assist with all family planning needs. She enjoys the follow-up experience of the care of the neonate and childhood immunisation.
Dr Abelev enjoys supporting her patient's mental health care and is trained as a mental health provider assisting patients to access clinical psychology under the mental health plan.
Her work at the clinic has seen her extend her learning by gaining a certificate through Australian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (ACNEM).
Dr Abelev speaks fluent Russian.
In her free time Dr Abelev loves spending time with her husband and three children. She loves to travel and enjoys attending the theatre and symphony music performances with friends.
