Dr Choy graduated from the University of Auckland in 2007. He completed most of his postgraduate training in South Australia at the Lyell McEwin and Modbury Hospitals before joining general practice in 2012. He has spent time working in the Northern Territory and rural South Australia (Yorke Peninsula). Dr Choy is now a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (since 2014) and also an examiner for the RACGP. He has a special interest in chronic disease management – especially diabetes, asthma, COPD and obesity – and also performs minor procedures including contraceptive insertion and removal, and skin lesion excisions.
