Dr Shelton graduated with Honours from Monash University and completed a fellowship in Inflammatory Bowel Disease at Monash Health. He is an adjunct lecturer at Monash University tutoring medical students and interns, and has published articles in both local and international journals on liver disease and endoscopy. He continues ongoing research in the area of Inflammatory Bowel Disease and will undertake an Advanced Inflammatory Bowel Disease Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in affiliation with Harvard University in 2014-2015.
