I was born in Melbourne Victoria. I did my medical training at Sydney University and spent early post graduate years in Newcastle and Alice Springs. I completed my Orthopaedic fellowship training in Perth. I spent 3 years subspecializing in spinal surgery. This included 1 year in Perth and 2 years in Cardiff, United Kingdom. My fellowships encompassed all aspects of spinal care from paediatric deformity to adult degenerative and trauma care. I currently provide services to Royal Perth Hospital and Princess Margaret Hospital for children. I also contribute to the WA State Spine Trauma Service which treats most spine injuries that occur within our distant borders. Spinal disorders often coexist with or mimic adjacent Orthopaedic disorders. Through my lengthy Orthopaedic training I hope to prioritize and clarify complex skeletal symptoms I am sympathetic to the needs of an athlete or worker who is being inhibited by an injury. I will explore lesser invasive treatment options before considering major reconstructive work. Outside my professional pursuits I am a very keen cyclist and follower of Australian Rules football.
