Dr Warne has been practicing at Cabarita Beach Medical Centre for 20 years. In addition to his tenure here he has also been a supervisor of training for 17 years. As the Managing partner for both this clinic and our sister clinic in Murwillumbah he has a wide array of experience both medically and professionally to ensure you receive the highest standard of practice available. Doug’s formal qualifications are extensive: Graduate of Newcastle University with Honours; Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners; Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine; Diploma of Paediatrics; and Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Additionally, Doug maintains admitting rights at Murwillumbah Hospital. As an educator of the next generation of Medical specialists Doug has shown a great commitment to the long-term community benefits that come from continued medical innovation. As a practicing Doctor Doug has a passion for bringing a diverse skillset to rural medicine including: Paediatrics; Obstetrics; Allergies; and Chronic Disease Management He has served terms as as the General Practice representative on the National Immunisation Committee and been the Tweed Valley Immunisation Project Manager from 2000-2008. Beyond the scope of medicine Doug is also a strong community participant. He lives in the valley with his lovely wife and four beautiful children who attend local schools . His interests include surfing and soccer and he has captained the Australian Medical Soccer team at the World Medical Championships.
