How long have I worked in Mental Health?............ 11 Years

Mental Health Experience............ Public and private systems, including; four years on a child and adolescent team at Monash Health, working with adolescents at Melbourne’s Royal Children’s Hospital, treating youth at Headspace, and in adult psychiatry with the Alfred Hospital and Royal Melbourne Hospital. I have published a number of scientific papers and presented at conferences. Prior to commencing my psychology training I worked in the Finance and Banking sector.

Who do I treat?............ Adults and Adolescents

Areas of expertise............ Depression, anxiety, trauma, adjustment issues relating to significant life transitions or major stress, work related and professional issues, decision making, relationships and family problems, grief and loss, and men's health.

My therapy style............ I work with clients to develop a collaborative, trusting, relationship where they feel comfortable to tell their story. From there we develop a treatment plan that we refer back to and adjust throughout treatment to ensure positive results. I utilise evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Family Therapy, and conflict resolution and mediation. My therapy is anchored by the values of genuineness and empathy.
