Dr David Grimes is a Medical Oncologist and Chairman of the Icon Cancer Foundation board. Dr Grimes is based at Icon Cancer Care Wesley and visits Icon Cancer Care Chermside for weekly sessions. He also regularly visits North West Private Hospital and Greenslopes Private Hospital. Dr Grimes graduated from the University of Queensland in 1984 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 1992. Following successful residencies at The Princess Alexandra Hospital and registrar and senior registrar positions at The South Brisbane Haematology / Oncology Unit and The Queensland Radium Institute at Royal Brisbane Hospital, Dr Grimes completed a clinical fellowship at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute New York in 1993 and 1994 specialising in bone marrow transplantation and medical oncology.
