Graduating from Medicine at Monash University in 2004, Dr Rodda worked and trained in the field of Orthopaedics at some of the most prestigious hospitals in Melbourne. During this time, he was awarded an honorary fellowship at the University of Melbourne Department of Anatomy. He received his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the Australian Orthopaedic Association in 2015. Continuing his studies, Daevyd completed post-fellowship training in various centres of excellence throughout Europe and North America, particularly in the field of sports knee injuries and joint replacement surgery of the lower limb.

‘Dr Rodda is widely regarded for his Anterior Minimally Invasive Total Hip Replacement Surgery. This technique, in combination with patient specific implants, improves his patients’ experience when having hip replacement surgery. Patients experience quicker recovery rates with shortened hospital stays and a quicker return to normal joint function. Dr Rodda performs both primary and complex hip replacement surgery via the anterior approach. Dr Rodda still maintains an interest in all aspects of hip and knee surgery, sporting and general orthopaedic trauma.

In addition to an ongoing commitment to clinical excellence, Daevyd remains actively engaged in the training and examination of future doctors and surgeons. He teaches the complex Anterior Minimally Invasive Total Hip Replacement surgical technique to other surgeons throughout Australia.

Daevyd and his team endeavour to deliver the highest quality surgical results with a compassionate and caring approach, providing every patient with a thorough assessment and comprehensive treatment plan. Dr Rodda believes the highest quality surgery can only be achieved through collaboration with other health professionals and hospital staff that share the same vision of patient-centred care.
