Training Craig McCutcheon is a fully qualified specialist anaesthetist. He graduated from medicine at Melbourne University in 1995 and undertook his specialist anaesthesia training based at St Vincent's Hospital, Melbourne obtaining his specialist anaesthesia qualification (FANZCA) in 2004.

Experience Craig undertook 2 years of clinical fellowship. In 2003 he was the Anaesthesia Fellow at St Vincent's Hospital, Melbourne where he gained experience in anaesthesia for cardiac and thoracic surgery, ENT and neurosurgery. In 2004/5 he undertook a further 12 month fellowship in Regional Anaesthesia at the Calgary health region in Canada. Through this training period he received a number a significant research grants and has published several articles in peer reviewed journals. He has also undertaken voluntary work in Papua New Guinea with Interplast - a not for profit organisation which provides reconstructive surgery to patients in the Asia Pacific region.

Current Appointments Craig currently works at the Alfred Hospital as well as several private hospitals in Melbourne. His areas of interest include regional anaesthesia as well as anaesthesia for orthopaedic, plastic and ENT surgery.

Outside Interests Outside work, Craig is a keen golfer and a busy father of three.
