Dr Corinne Ryan is a medical oncologist based at Icon Cancer Care Townsville. Dr Ryan graduated with Honours from James Cook University medical school in Townsville in 2005 and became a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2013.
Dr Ryan has trained at many large facilities in metropolitan and regional Queensland, including the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital, Prince Charles Hospital, The Townsville Hospital, Nambour Hospital and Redcliffe District Hospital.
Dr Ryan has a clinical interest in general oncology across multiple tumour streams with particular interests in lung, breast, colon and gynaecological cancer treatment. Dr Ryan has an interest in research and has conducted independent research studies in the fields of immunology and oncology. She has also been active in recruiting many patients to clinical trials throughout Australia.
Dr Ryan is involved in medical student teaching through an affiliation with James Cook University as a Year Six Adult Medicine student coordinator. She also has significant experience in the use of teleoncology to facilitate patient care and follow up for patients in North Queensland.
