Dr Colin Thompson is a comprehensive eye specialist. His surgical interests include cataracts, squints, pterygiums, and eyelid surgery. He treats macular degeneration performing lucentis, eyelea and avastin injections. He also treats glaucoma, diabetes and paediatric eye diseases. Dr Colin Thompson lives locally with his wife and three children. Dr Colin Thompson graduated in Medicine from the University of Sydney with honours. He trained in Ophthalmology on the Sydney Eye Hospital training scheme. He achieved the medal for excellence in the final national exams for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists. He underwent further training in Leeds, United Kingdom prior to returning to Port Macquarie to the Port Macquarie Eye Centre.
