CONTACT US DR HELMUT SCHAIDER MD FACD Dr Helmut Schaider Dr. Helmut Schaider has been a Dermatologist since 2001, qualifying from the Medical University of Graz in Austria. At Clinic One, he conducts a private practice focussed on skin cancer checks and treatment.
Most of his time, Dr Schaider is an academic Dermatologist. He is internationally recognised as a translational researcher in skin cancer, focusing on melanoma biology and early detection of melanoma. He received training in melanoma biology at The Wistar Institute, Philadelphia.
After relocating to Australia he initiated his own independent research group at the Translational Research Institute, Brisbane. His research seeks to identify drug resistance to targeted therapies in melanoma and to improve survival of melanoma patients and early detection of melanoma.
Her areas of expertise include skin cancer diagnosis and treatment General and paediatric dermatology. She has a passion for cosmetic dermatology.
Dr Patterson has a Medical degree from the University of London as well as a degree in anatomy from University College London. She completed her Dermatology training in Oxford, UK. She continued to work at the prestigious John Radcliffe Hospital, where she taught Oxford University medical students, as well as presenting nationally and internationally.
She has worked at the Skin and Cancer Foundation Australia , Westmead Children’s hospital as well as Sydney Dermatology, Sutherland Shire Dermatology (Miranda) and Chatswood Dermatology Sydney. Clare has undertaken research at the Melanoma and Skin Cancer Research Institute, University of Sydney obtaining a Doctorate in Medicine as well as winning the College of Health sciences First prize.
