Claire is a caring and friendly GP who enjoys working with people of all ages and backgrounds. She obtained her medical degree from The University of Adelaide in 2009, and completed her residency and GP fellowship in Victoria. Claire grew up in Bayside, and worked with Alfred Health for several years, at The Alfred, Caulfield, and Sandringham Hospitals. During this time she completed additional training in paediatrics through a Diploma of Child Health, and women’s health through a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Claire offers shared-care Obstetrics with the Royal Women’s Hospital – allowing women with low-risk pregnancies to see both her and hospital doctors during their pregnancy. Claire spent much of her medical training, and also the last few years working in rural communities – most recently in Gippsland, where she not only enjoyed the rolling hills and gorgeous beaches, but also being part of close-knit communities. She loves getting to know patients well, and working with them through the ups and downs of all life stages – preventative care, chronic disease management, geriatrics, mental health, and minor procedures. Claire thoroughly enjoys being a member of the wonderful team at Port Melbourne Medical.
