Cinzia de Luca is a senior paediatric Clinical Neuropsychologist who has a Masters of Psychology (Clinical Neuropsychology) and a Doctor of Philosophy from The University of Melbourne. Cinzia specialises in neurological conditions that affect brain development, in particular cancer, preterm birth and malformations of cortical development. She has experience in learning difficulties and developmental disorders, and has a special interest in the development of executive functions, particularly attention and working memory.

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE Cinzia holds a clinical position in the Children’s Cancer Centre where she specialises in brain tumours and acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. She is a Research Fellow at the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute where she holds a Career Development Award and also conducts research with the Victorian Infant Collaborative Study (VICS) at the Royal Women’s Hospital. She is a sessional lecturer at the University of Melbourne, supervises Masters and PhD level psychology students and contributes to staff training and parent education. Cinzia has published journal articles and book chapters on the normal development of cognitive skills throughtout the life span, and the impact of neurological conditions and medical treatments on thinking skills, academic abilities and motor functioning.

Cinzia is registered as a Clinical Neuropsychologist with the Australian Board of Psychology.
