Dr Chris Russell is a fertility specialist and practising obstetrician, so is uniquely placed to look after women from their IVF treatment, all the way through to the birth of their babies.
Chris prides himself on offering outstanding care to his patients in a personalised way; he ensures that all investigations, results and procedures are thoroughly explained, and that patients always have time to ask questions.
Prior to becoming a specialist, Chris spent two years in advanced training in reproductive medicine and laparoscopic surgery on the infertility units at Monash Medical Centre, the Mercy Hospital for Women, and Monash IVF. At these centres Dr Russell has learnt and honed the intricate expertise required to investigate, diagnose, manage and support couples who desire a pregnancy.
Chris is a fully accredited fertility specialist with Monash IVF, and therefore can offer a full array fertility treatments to assist couples in becoming pregnant. He presently holds prestigious consultant positions in Reproductive Medicine and High Risk Obstetrics at the Mercy Hospital for Women, one of Melbourne’s tertiary hospitals, and is a lecturer with the University of Melbourne.
