He graduated from Monash University in 1978 and spent the early part of his career at Prince Henry's Hospital (Melbourne) and in Sydney as a Urology Registrar. In 1986 he returned to Melbourne where he finished up his Urology training at St Vincent's and then worked in San Francisco. He's been involved in male health for nearly three decades. A specialist in urological prosthetics, Dr Love uses a range of treatments from medication to the latest surgical techniques to treat men with erectile dysfunction and urinary incontinence, particularly in men experiencing those problems after prostate cancer surgery. He is the largest volume, and most experienced, penile implant surgeon in Australia. He also treats men with Peyronie's disease, and is on the forefront of treating that condition also, utilizing the latest injectable treatments and performing, where necessary, complex reconstructive procedures. He treats benign prostate disease using GreenLight laser, and the UroLift device, as well as traditional TURP, depending on individual needs, and also treats a wide variety of other urology conditions including "no-scalpel" vasectomy, urinary stones and PSA testing and counseling. Dr Love enjoys clinical research, especially that pertaining to male health, and has been an investigator in a wide range of clinical trials. He's treats patients both from Australia and overseas, and his experience lends him to be being highly regarded amongst peers and patients, and an expert in penile implant surgery. He is an educator and mentor, both nationally and internationally, for other surgeons and trainees wishing to also become expert in penile implant and Peyronie’s disease surgery, and is often asked to speak at international conferences or demonstrate his surgical techniques, particularly his Minimally Invasive No-Touch (MINT) technique for penile implant surgery.
