My name is Dr Christopher James and I will be your anaesthetist for your upcoming procedure.

My Professional History
Following completion of my medical degree, I undertook specialist anaesthetic training in Victoria and New Zealand. I gained Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in February 2001. Subsequently I worked in London, U.K. prior to settling back in Melbourne. I joined Central Anaesthetic Group in 2011.
I have current appointments at the Austin Hospital, Royal Womens Hospital and Royal Dental Hospital. Also I have accreditation at The Epworth campuses, Warringal and Frances Perry House.
I have subspecialty interest in anaesthesia for Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Urology, Colorectal, Bariatric, ENT, Maxillofacial and Dental surgery and Endoscopy.
I am a regular participant in the Maintenance of Professional Standards Program from the College of Anaesthetists.
My aim is to keep you safe and for you to experience as little pain and discomfort as possible after the procedure.
