Dr Chris Boyle graduated from the University of NSW in 1979.  He did his residency in Newcastle at the Royal Newcastle Hospital, Mater Hospital and Belmont Hospital. He did Obstetrics training at the Mater Hospital and gained his Diploma in Obstetrics.   He enrolled in the GP training programme and spent time at Narromine, NSW in General Practice.  After time in the UK doing Obstetrics in Sheffield he returned to Australia to the beautiful Hunter Valley.  In 1984 he joined Raymond Terrace Family Practice and has been here ever since. Dr Boyle has several medical interests. He has been a board member and chairman of the board with the local Division of General Practice. He is a trainee GP supervisor and a medical student teacher.  He does external teaching with the College training programme, is an examiner in the RACGP exam and accredits GP practices.   He is very interested in all aspects of General Practice including Men’s health and managing chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart disease.  He has done skin cancer courses and is interested in skin cancer diagnosis and management.   He has been a participant in GP Access After Hours since it’s inception.   Outside of the practice his interests are walking, travelling, gardening, cooking and eating!
