Dr Patel was born and raised in Cardiff, Wales, UK. He undertook his medical education and some of his training in the UK. He emigrated to Australia in 2014 and spent 2 years in Emergency Medicine acquiring the Certificate in Emergency Medicine. He then decided to pursue rural general practice and achieved his Fellowship in 2018 during which he also completed the Clinical Diploma in Palliative Medicine. He is currently enrolled in two Masters Degrees – Clinical Education and Ophthalmic Science. He is a title holder for Adelaide and Flinders University where he provides teaching to medical students. His current research interests are in clinical education and ophthalmology. Dr Patel’s interests include Preventative Medicine, Palliative Medicine, Men’s Health, Internal Medicine. Chronic Diseases, ENT, Ophthalmology, Mental Health, Musculoskeletal Medicine, Geriatrics and Minor Surgical Procedures, as well as travel advice. In his spare time Dr Patel plays soccer and coaches youth soccer. Dr Patel is fluent in English, Gujarati and Hindi.
