Mr Chatar Goyal is a general orthopaedic surgeon who has appointments at St. John of God Hospital and The University Hospital, Geelong.


Mr Goyal completed his schooling from the country town of Churchill, in Gippsland. He was the first person from his country school to be awarded the prestigious Melbourne University Rural Medicine Scholarship, and graduated with Honours from Melbourne University in 2003.

Mr Goyal completed his orthopaedic training in 2013 and then completed a further fellowship at Geelong Hospital in Hip and Knee Arthroplasty in 2014.

Mr Goyal currently also has a senior lecturer position at Deakin University and has a passion for teaching medical students and trainee surgeons. He also enjoys cricket, tennis and badminton and loves spending time with wife and two young children.
