Graduated from National University of Singapore and worked in Royal Perth Hospital as Senior Resident Medical Officer and Surgical Registrar prior to commencement in General Practice.
At Royal Perth Hospital, he was a Surgical Registrar in Orthopaedic Surgery (under the late Sir George Bedbrook), Neurosurgery, General Surgery and Emergency Medicine.
In 2001 he was one of 5 General Practitioners sponsored by the Department of Health and Aged Care to study the Primary Health Care Systems in the USA and Canada under the ‘Building on Quality’ project. The project examined and identified Quality Initiatives in General Practice for implementation in the Australian context.
He was a General Practitioner in Riverton, then Scarborough, prior to joining the Cottesloe Medical Centre in 2009. He enjoys preventative medicine, diagnostic or treatment challenges and doing minor surgery.
