Dr Catherine Wong (Paediatrician)

Catherine is a consultant paediatrician who graduated in medicine at the University of NSW in 1999, before completing specialist paediatric training at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Catherine is fluent in both Cantonese and Mandarin, having lived in Hong Kong prior to moving to Australia.

Catherine has worked in a range of paediatric hospital units for over 8 years, including paediatric emergencies, neonatal intensive care, child and adolescent mental health, child protection unit and multidisciplinary developmental clinic.

Catherine has been running private general paediatric clinics since 2010, and will now be joining Sydney Kids Clinic. She relishes any opportunity to promote the health and well-being of children. Through the Australian Chinese Medical Association, she regularly appear in interviews on the SBS radio Cantonese segment, and has presented at community talks, most recently via Special Children Services Centre.

Catherine would love to get back to her former sporty self and has started to integrate physical activities in her daily school run, as well as having quality time with her family.
