Background: Catherine graduated medicine from UNSW in 1984 and went on to complete training with the RACGP Family Medicine Program. Clinical: She has completed extra training in Drug and Alcohol medicine (2011); Family Planning NSW (Certificate in Reproductive medicine)  (2012) and IUD insertions (2016) and Aboriginal Health. Her current special interests are Reproductive and Sexual Health, Menopause and Perimenopause, Contraception including LARC methods ie IUD insertion and removal (both copper and hormonal )and Hormone implant (Implanon) insertion and removal Professional roles: She currently works part time a GP in Erskineville at Erskineville Doctors, and at Qualitas Gymea Personal interests/Life Experience She spent 20 yrs in the Former Soviet Union ( Kazakhstan) where she helped delivered public health programs, provided clinical care and GP education and produced patient education material. She speaks Russian and Kazakh. She loves theatre, playing the guitar and piano, kayaking and spending time with her family and her dog. She is a member of Newtown Mission (Uniting Church).
