Candice Dunstan is a Clinical Psychologist with a passion for supporting the wellbeing of each individual from a holistic perspective. Candice works authentically, collaboratively, and mindfully with those looking to identify, explore, and challenge areas in their life that they wish to improve. Candice takes a non-judgmental interested approach to therapy with each client, encouraging a safe place conducive to trust in the therapy process. By fostering genuine relationships, Candice develops a joint understanding of each person’s difficulty and works together with them to identify and implement therapy goals. Candice believes that when a client is empowered to reflect on their struggles and to take ownership of the steps needed to move towards their goals, an improved quality of life will follow. Candice has experience working with adolescents and adults in both public and private practice settings. Candice is particularly passionate about supporting individuals who struggle with eating disorders, eating difficulties and body image concerns, and has considerable experience in this area. Other areas of interest and experience include mood disturbance and depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and relationship difficulties. Candice uses evidence-based practice with her clients, including Cognitive-behavioural Therapies (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and Mindfulness based therapies. Candice ensures that therapy is tailored to each individual’s needs and goals. Candice’s clients describe her as genuine, empathic, energetic, transparent, and goal oriented. Outside being a psychologist Candice enjoys spending time with her family and socialising with friends. Candice enjoys planning holidays and visiting new places.
