Having commenced work as a rural GP in 1978 and being there for 17 years, Brian then worked as a Lecturer at the University of Adelaide before returning full time to general practice.
Brian’s special interest is the care of mothers and babies. In particular, Brian helps with advice on feeding, sleep, growth and behaviour in babies and children. In the community, Brian is best known for his work on resolving sleep problems in children.
Internationally, Brian works with a group called ‘Fed is Best’ aimed at supporting the well-being of newborn babies at risk of inadequate feeding.
